Although we were more than 3 hours in advance in the airport there were almost no seats available. However I did not arrive in Johannesburg because a flight delay (even though our flight was set to let ontime) caused probably 40 people to miss their connections. To their credit, Qatar Airways did find accommodations for us and gave us food vouchers. Otherwise it'd be a zero rating."

They accommodated us, by having us move up to Business Class just before landing so that we could get off the plane first. We made our connection without any problem."
Πλεονεκτήματα: "I was on vacation in the Philippines and I was very worried i wouldn't be able to fly back to Portland. I was late to realize that my passport was expiring in less than 6 months. The staff went way beyond in helping me figure out what i need to do. They called a lot of people to make sure i have the right information. They even gave me contact information of the other airline with my connecting flight and advised me to call them to make sure I won't have any problems with boarding with my connecting flight. The service is totally great. I will definitely fly with them again."

During our connecting flight in Athens our boarding passes wouldn't print at the self service computers and there was no one to help us so we had to go back out to the front desk. The airline representative was extremely rude. There was 5 employees standing around the computer with NO customers and when we asked if this was Turkish Airlines and if they could help, the woman (manager) responded "this WAS Turkish Airlines" as if they were done helping customers for the day (it was 9AM and our flight was leaving in 45 min). We explained that we couldn't print our passes and she ROLLED her eyes as if it was an inconvenience to help us. THEN on our flight from Istanbul to Chicago, a passenger died an hour into the flight and they placed the body on the seats behind us for over 10 hours! Nobody even told us what happened! We didn't know if they died from natural causes or if it was something else! They didn't offer to seat us somewhere else or even inform us they were placing the body there. We were completely shocked and uncomfortable the whole flight home. We couldn't eat or sleep. We're completely disgusted and scarred from this overall experience."

Μειονεκτήματα: "Departure from Istanbul was delayed, then there was a backup for takeoff, so we sat on the tarmac an extra half hour. Still don't understand why the Istanbul-to-IAD flight is scheduled to be an hour and a half longer than the IAD-to-Istanbul leg was. Apparently there was no effort to make up lost time, so our scheduled 7:10pm arrival was after 8pm. Pasta dish was clearly supposed to be a hot meal, but it was cold when served."
